The concept of the Stop-a-Flat Puncture Proof Inner Tube was conceived and designed by Jens Sunde as far back as the 1990s. It has seen several changes of design but arrived onto the market in its present form a few years ago and was launched into the South African Market. Having been distributed and sold successfully by a national wholesaler, Stop-a-Flat tubes are now being marketed worldwide.

Stop-a-Flat tubes are manufactured from a polymer of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, (EVA.), using a closed cell construction to prevent it from absorbing water.

To this day, Jens Sunde in responsible for the manufacturing process and the design of any new products or derivatives.
